Condom manufacturing method in which a glass piston is inserted in liquid latex and a latex decoration element is applied directly onto the glass piston or between a first and second latex layer during manufacture. During a final vulcanization step, the decoration element is connected to the other latex layer or layers. An independent claim is made for a condom that fulfils current safety standards and incorporates a latex decorative pattern within the latex sheath.
