<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer protective film having high optical transparency, excellent in mechanical strength and productivity, and excellent in adhesiveness to a polarizer formed from polyvinyl alcohol resin, to provide a polarizing plate using such a polarizer protective film and a polarizer formed from polyvinyl alcohol resin and having few appearance defects with good productivity, and to provide a high-grade image display unit using such a polarizing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The polarizer protective film has a resin layer comprising a copolymer including a styrenic monomer and an olefinic monomer as monomer units on one surface of a polyester resin layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
