PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit of an air conditioner capable of protecting a connection wire rod distributed in a main body housing while preventing the impairing of workability such as wiring work of the connection wire rod in the main body housing, and assembling work and maintenance work of the indoor unit of the air conditioner. SOLUTION: The main body housing 12 is long over its both side end portions, a wire rod storing portion 121 having a grooved portion 122 formed into the groove shape for storing the connection wire rod distributed in the main body housing is formed near a lower end portion of a cabinet 12, and the connection wire rod is stored in the grooved portion 122 of the wire rod storing portion 121. As the connection wire rod is stored in a state of being consolidated in the grooved portion of the wire rod storing portion, the assembling work and the maintenance work of the indoor unit of the air conditioner can be implemented without disturbed by the connection wire rod, and the workability can be improved.
