<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Mn-Zn-Ni-based ferrite which has a high Curie point of ≥300°C, has high saturated-magnetic-flux density and specific magnetic permeability in a temperature region of ≥100°C and a frequency region of 20 to 60 kHz, and is suitably used for an induction heating device. <P>SOLUTION: The Mn-Zn-Ni-based ferrite comprises, by mol, 53-57% Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 4-11% ZnO, 0.5-4% NiO and the balance substantially MnO as basic components, and by mass, 0.005-0.05% SiO<SB>2</SB>and 0.02-0.2% CaO as additive components. An iron oxide having a chlorine content of ≤0.050 mass% is used as the above Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>material, and the chlorine content of the obtained final sintered compact is regulated to be ≤80 mass ppm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
