<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment for cleaning glass of a fluorescent tube, by which a phosphor film coated on the inside surface of a glass tube of the fluorescent tube can quickly and surely be removed. <P>SOLUTION: The method for cleaning glass of the fluorescent tube comprises the steps of: crushing the base part-removed fluorescent tube; exfoliating the phosphor film from the inside surface of the glass tube; and making a crushed material in which phosphor powder coexists with a glass particle pass through a rotating cylindrical rotor together with air to separate/recover the glass particle by the centrifugal force imparted to the rotor. The equipment for cleaning glass of the fluorescent tube is provided with: a cutting unit 5 for removing a base part; a crushing unit 6 for crushing the base part-removed fluorescent tube; a centrifugal wind power sorting unit 7 for separating the crushed material obtained by the crushing unit into phosphor powder and the glass particle; a hermetically-sealable treatment vessel 3 for housing the cutting unit 5; and a separating means 19 connected to the treatment vessel and the sorting unit for sucking atmospheric gas in the treatment vessel and exhaust gas in the sorting unit, and separating/removing phosphor powder and mercury from the atmospheric gas and the exhaust gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
