PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving gasification efficiency in a wet anaerobic digestion method targeting organic waste, and its apparatus. SOLUTION: In the wet anaerobic digestion method performing anaerobic high-temperature digestion treatment of material to be treated, comprising organic waste under a light irradiation condition, a light emitting diode is used as a light source, and the organic waste is subjected to the anaerobic high-temperature digestion treatment while receiving the light irradiation using the light emitting diode as the light source.
