PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent display tube in which life span of SrTiO<SB>3</SB>:Pr phosphor used in an anode luminous part of the tube is prolonged to practically sufficient degree. SOLUTION: WO<SB>3</SB>powder is added to and mixed with an SrTiO<SB>3</SB>:Pr phosphor and the mixture is used for the luminous part of anode of the fluorescent display tube. The amount of WO<SB>3</SB>powder added is preferably 0.1-30 wt.% expressed in terms of metal element. According to the phosphor of the present invention, residual ratio (65-95) of luminance after lighting for 1,000 hr which is not lower than values of conventional phosphors can be obtained while ensuring initial luminance (70-103) in a ratio of about≥70% based on conventional initial luminance and practically significant improvement can be added to life span characteristics of SrTiO<SB>3</SB>:Pr phosphor.
