PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage timing for discarding a document taken in an electronic filing system. SOLUTION: In this electronic filing device storing image data of the document read by a scanner 1 in a database 16, a management computer 3 has: a document discard requirement registration part for securing that the image data outputted by the scanner 1 are genuine image data of the document, and setting a requirement for permitting the discard of the document; and a document discard requirement confirmation part deciding whether the requirement set by the document discard requirement registration part 11 is satisfied or not.
