摘要 Cold-formable mouldings made of titanium-based alloys. The invention addresses the problem of developing titanium-based mouldings with high plasticity and formability at room temperature, high strength, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. This problem is solved by titanium-based alloys whose composition corresponds to the formula xTi-y(Nb+Ta)-zM, in which x equals 100-(y+z) % by weight, y equals 10 to 50 % by weight, z equals 1 to 10 % by weight and M is at least one element from the group formed by the elements Cr, In, Zr, Ag, Au and Pd, and whose structure is that of a ß-alloy with a defined homogeneous microstructure comprising at least 92 % by volume ductile dendrites. In order to produce these mouldings, a melt of said alloy is cooled in swift cooling conditions at a cooling rate ranging from 100 to 1000 K/s. The mouldings can be used as implants in the medicinal field, but also in the aviation industry, the airspace industry, the chemical industry, in the general field of machine construction and as sports appliances.
