<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head part protecting airbag device capable of securing a passage of an airbag body, by surely deforming a front pillar garnish, when inflating-deploying the airbag body. <P>SOLUTION: This head part protective airbag device 10 has a bracket 16 arranged between the airbag body 12 and the front pillar garnish 14 and fixed to a front pillar 34 as a cantilever. The bracket 16 is pressed and deformed by the inflating-deploying airbag body 12, and the front pillar garnish 14 is push-expelled to the cabin inside (the X1 side) in a state of locking an end part 14B of the front pillar garnish 14 by a free end side locking part 14, and an opening 40 capable of passing the airbag body 12 is formed between the front pillar 34 and the front pillar garnish 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
