PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal device with a camera and a mobile phone with a camera which are small-sized and enable a photographing direction to be changed by easy operation and enable a photographer to photograph while confirming a picture to be photographed. SOLUTION: When a switching unit 15 having a first mirror 16 and a second mirror 17 is moved to a first position where the second mirror 17 is on an optical axis of a lens 13, light from a subject 23 on the same side as a photographer 22 is reflected to the second mirror 17 by the first mirror 16, and light reflected to the second mirror 17 is reflected to the lens 13 by the second mirror 17, and a CCD 14 converts the light reflected to the lens 13 to an electric signal to pick up an image. When the switching unit 15 is moved to a second position where the first mirror 16 and the second mirror 17 are off the optical axis, the CCD 14 converts light from a subject 24 on a side opposite to the photographer 22 to an electric signal to pick up an image.
