PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend/hold the working part of a large-sized sewn product such as a golf caddie bag, etc., on a base frame in a comfortable posture. SOLUTION: This holding device is provided by installing the base frame 12 as capable of moving in front and rear, and left and right directions based on the needle-dropping position 10 of the embroidery sewing machine 1, constructing a nipping/attaching frame 24 and a supporting frame 29 at the inside of the base frame 12 so as to extend in front and rear direction, supporting a back cover 103 of the golf caddie bag 101 from lower side with the supporting frame 29 and stretching/passing it between the nipping/attaching frame 24, installing an arm 28 for holding the supporting frame 29 at the rear part of the base frame 12 as rotatable around an axis parallel to the nipping/attaching frame 24, installing an operating member 35 as capable of manually operating in left and right direction in an upper region from the base frame 12, linking an operating member 35 with the arm 28 by a linking member 37 and arranging the supporting frame 29 at a position approaching to the nipping/attaching frame 24 and a position leaving from the same by the operating member 35.
