PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray tomography apparatus capable of obtaining the tomographic image of a subject even in the state that a holding part supporting the subject is inclined. SOLUTION: This apparatus comprises: a scanner part 2 for rotating an X-ray tube 21 and a detector 22 around the subject so as to irradiate the subject held by a chair 1 with X-rays from the X-ray tube 21, detect the transmitted X-rays of the subject by the detector 22 arranged oppositely to the X-ray tube 21 and detect the transmitted X-rays for angles required for obtaining the tomographic image of the subject; a reconstitution computation part 3 for reconstituting and computing the tomographic image of the subject from the transmitted X-rays detected accompanying the rotation of the X-ray tube 21 and the detector 22; a holding part moving part 4 for inclining the chair 1 at a prescribed angle to a floor surface; and a scanner moving part 5 for moving the scanner part 2 so as to align the rotary axis of the scanner part 2 in a direction matched with the inclination of the chair 1 inclined by the holding part moving part 4 and with the body axis of the subject.
