An apparatus for outputting mono and stereo sound signals in a mobile communication terminal. The apparatus includes a stereo codec outputting a stereo sound signal, a first path unit processing the stereo sound signal outputted from the stereo codec, a second path unit processing the stereo sound signal outputted from the stereo codec into a mono sound signal, and a sound output unit connected with the first and second path units and reproducing the stereo and mono sound signals.
