<p>A demountable heat-exchange element (15) for locating in thermal contact with a central heating radiator (10) to enhance the heat output thereof is provided. The element (15) may be formed from a heat-conductive material and may be shaped so as to provide, in combination with the surface of the radiator (10) itself, an enlarged heat-exchange surface area and, preferably, convection pathways to encourage air, heated by contact with the radiator (10) or the element (15) in thermal contact therewith, to improve the effectiveness in the heating of the ambient air in the locality of the radiator (10) when the element (15) is mounted thereon.</p> |
