<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast network system by which signals of not only existing formats for images but also any transmission format can be transmitted and handled among a plurality of broadcasting stations. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of broadcasting stations A to D are connected by one optical network 10 instead of ATM networks or SDH networks, and each of broadcasting stations A to D is provided with optical switches 100, 200, 300, and 400 for switching optical transmission lines of a plurality of input/output channels including the optical network 10, and a video router 500 is connected to an optical transmission line of an idle input/output channel of the optical switch 100, and the video router 500 has a function of converting an optical signal from the optical switch 100 to an electric signal conforming to a transmission format of a connected broadcasting device to output the electric signal to the connected broadcasting device and converting an electric signal of the connected broadcasting device to an optical signal to send the optical signal to an optical transmission line for input to the optical switch 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
