摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of enhancing draining capability of a gas exhaust manifold without causing output drop. <P>SOLUTION: This fuel cell 10 has a stacked structure composed by stacking a plurality of unit cells 20 and generates electromotive force by an electrochemical reaction generated in the respective unit cells by a supply gas supplied to the respective unit cells. The fuel cell is provided with; a gas supply manifold 12 communicating with the entrance side of gas passages 40 provided for the respective unit cells; the gas exhaust manifold 30 communicating with the exit side of the gas passages; and an opening area variation means 70 capable of varying the opening area of the gas exhaust manifold when viewed in the gas flow direction in the gas exhaust manifold. The opening area variation means controls the opening area of the gas exhaust manifold in line with at least either of the flow rate and the flow speed of the supply gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
