<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system composed of a plurality of fuel cells, restraining an electrolyte film from deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: On the fuel cell system having fuel cell stacks 1a, 1b, hydrogen flow passages 18a, 18b or air flow passages 19a, 19b are made to serially communicate.
