<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell reduced in pressure loss due to drooping of a diffusion layer in a folded part of a fluid passage, uniformed in supply of a fluid to the diffusion layer from the fluid passage, and improved in drainage of produced water and efficiency of an electrode reaction. <P>SOLUTION: This solid polymer fuel cell is provided with: a membrane-electrode assembly comprising a hydrogen ion-conducting polymer electrolyte membrane and a pair of electrodes; and a pair of conductive separators having the fluid passages for supplying and draining a fuel and an oxidizer gas to/from one-side electrode and the other-side electrode, respectively. In the fuel cell having a meandering part between the entrance side and the exit side of the fluid, the fluid passage is so structured that the folded part in the meandering part of the fluid passage is positioned on the outer side as compared with the circumferential part of the electrodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
