PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map data display device improving display update speed of a map and making reality-based map display. SOLUTION: A map data display device comprises; a data acquiring section 4 for acquiring road link information in which a road is expressed by road width, road classification, a road node and a road link; a polygon generation section 5 for generating a cross point polygon which connects cross points of lines parallel with the road link of each road with road width and an adjacent road with road width without including an intersection node, and an outside intersection polygon in which edge lines are provided so that a road region within the intersection may not be included, with a cross point of lines parallel with the road link of each road with road width crossing to the intersection node and the adjacent road with road width as a reference point; and a polygon processing section 6 for generating a road display data of the road specified by road link information using the polygon which is generated by the polygon generation section 5.
