PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong fatigue life by relaxing a local stress on a welded part between a steel floor slab of the existing bridge and a rib. SOLUTION: A bolt 30 is passed through a U-rib 15; a filler 50 such as lightweight mortar is infilled into the U-rib 15; and an intermediate part of the bolt 15 is embedded in the filler 50. The bolt 30 makes a base part 21 of a reinforcing member 20 attached to the outside surface of the U-rib 15 by using an outward protruded part of the U-rib 15. A cam mechanism 40 is pre-sandwiched between the the reinforcing member 20 and a nut 32 which is screwed into the protruded part of the bolt 30. The bolt 30 is fastened, and a pressed part 23 of the reinforcing member 20 is pressed against the steel floor slab 13 by the cam action of the cam mechanism 40. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
