PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation structure for a building, capable of maintaining a ventilation state of a building main body in a space under the floor or the like in a favorable state, and preventing lowering of room temperature in winter. SOLUTION: In this ventilation structure A for a building, between a foundation 2 of the building 1 and a building main body 3 constructed on the foundation 2, a sole plate 4 with ventilation holes, provided with a sole plate main body 4a disposed along the length of the foundation 2, and a plurality of ventilation holes 4b formed through the width of the sole plate main body 4a is provided. On the outer side of the sole plate main body 4a, a shutter member 5 capable of closing the plurality of the ventilation holes 4b in the sole plate main body 4a is installed.
