PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top open type paper box provided with the function that a sound is issued every time a lid is opened or closed. SOLUTION: A finger hook hole 17 is made almost in the middle of a first side plate 12. Series of perforations b defining the lid 18 for taking out the content are formed from both ends of the hole 17 towards a top plate 11. The distal ends of the series of perforations b are connected by a valley crease c. A series of second perforations d is formed in a third side plate 16 near an inner plate so as not to be seen through the hole. Third creases e that are almost superposed on the series of perforations b are formed from both ends of the series of second perforations d towards a boarder with the inner plate 15. Mountain creases f that are almost superposed with the series of perforations b are formed from the distal ends of the corresponding series of third perforations e towards the vicinity of the second side plate 14 of the inner plate. The distal ends of the mountain creases f are connected by a second valley crease g that is almost superposed on the valley crease c.
