PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flying automobile having a wing capable of ensuring the lift required for the flight and preventing any obstruction in other modes than a flying mode. SOLUTION: The flying automobile 1 has a wing 20 which is developable in an annular shape so as to generate the lift and contractable, and a propulsion unit 10 to generate the thrust for the flight. The wing 20 is developed in an annular shape by using high-pressure air extracted from a compressor 12 to constitute the propulsion unit 10. Further, the automobile 1 has a wing shape retaining device 25 having a wire 23 and a winch 24 and capable of retaining the wing 20 in a substantially annular shape in a flying mode.
