PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric type wheel driving device capable of enhancing the durability of bearing for wheels, constructing the device lightweight and compact, and enhancing the ease of operation for disassembly and reassembly. SOLUTION: The electric type wheel driving device is equipped with an epicyclic reduction gear 3 installed between a pair of bearings 1 and 2 for wheels and composed of a ring gear 16 as a first external member 8, a sun gear 4 as a supporting member 17, a plurality of planet gears 21 to mesh with them, and a carrier pin 20 to bear them on a carrier 19, and with a drive part 5 consisting of an electric motor M including a stator 25 attached fast to the inside circumferential surface of a drum 8b and a rotor 24 attached fast to the periphery of the supporting member 17 and the supporting member 17 to bear the rotor 24 on a shaft 14, and is configured so that a hub wheel 7 and an inner member 13 are coupled together through the shaft 14 in such a way as able to be uncoupled, wherein the carrier 19 is coupled with the hub wheel 7 through serration, whereby the rotation of the motor M is transmitted to the hub wheel 7 through the epicyclic reduction gear 3 so as to drive the wheels.
