PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular monitoring device capable of monitoring the periphery of a vehicle, even when a user gets off the vehicle, in the vehicular monitoring device for displaying a peripheral image of imaging the periphery of the vehicle. SOLUTION: This vehicular monitoring device has a peripheral imaging means 1 for imaging the periphery of the vehicle, a display means 6 for displaying the peripheral image 10 provided by the peripheral imaging means 1, and a control means 5 for displaying the peripheral image 10 on the display means 6 and enabling the display means 6 to maintain a display of the peripheral image 10 for a predetermined time in response to OFF input of a key switch of the vehicle. The control means 5 determines an opening-closing state of a door of the vehicle, and enables the display means 6 to finish the display of the peripheral image 10 when determining that the door is opened before the predetermined time passes.
