<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein throughput deteriorates due to window controls carried out with convergence avoiding operations. <P>SOLUTION: A communication device carries out a communication session, based on a convergent window which specifies the amount of signals that are consecutively sent out to a network, estimates the utilization rate of a bottleneck line by using a signal propagation time in the communication session, and determines an increase of the convergent windows in a convergence avoiding operation, based on the estimated utilization rate of the bottleneck line. Increase in the convergent windows is set lower with the increase in the estimated utilization rate of the bottleneck line. When the communications device makes the convergent window expanded, the size of the convergent window which should be applied is calculated by using the determined increase. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
