<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply in which the cost is reduced while sustaining conventional protective function and the space for arranging an electronic controller can be used effectively by suppressing DC output voltage rise without employing a relay for protection. <P>SOLUTION: A relay for protecting against over-rise of DC output voltage is eliminated, and DC output voltage rise is suppressed by turning the contact 19 of an AC voltage relay off at the time of detecting overvoltage protection.
