PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical rotation angle detection apparatus for heightening manufacturing yields, by taking into account considerations for preventing the occurrence of solder bridges between narrow-pitch terminals of a photo IC, while improving detection accuracy by adopting a photo IC. SOLUTION: Terminals 5c<SB>2</SB>on both ends among three terminals, protruded in a column shape from the side of a light reception part of the photo IC 5, are soldered to lands 4c<SB>2</SB>at two locations. The lands 4c<SB>2</SB>at two locations are formed into an elongated shape, in which corresponding terminal insertion holes 4b are exposed at one-end parts, extending in opposite directions. The directions of extension are made to coincide with the directions of movement of a circuit board 4 in a dip soldering process. The land 4c<SB>1</SB>to which a center terminal 5c<SB>1</SB>among the three terminals is to be soldered is formed in an elongated shape, extending along the radial directions of a cord plate 1. It is thereby possible to reduce the possibility of the occurrence of solder bridges between the lands 4c<SB>1</SB>and 4c<SB>2</SB>, which are forced to be arranged in the vicinity of each other.
