A profiled PVC extrusion containing 1 to 7 parts of coloring material has its surface brushed so as to remove some material. It is then sealed with one or two sealing coats to produce a hard surface. It can contain pigments, dyes, additives, wood particles, or fillers and consist of different components introduced by co-extrusion. The grooves produced by brushing can be varied along the surface, e.g. by using different brushes with timing control. Differing surfaces can be exposed with co-extruded materials.
