<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device for obtaining the status of inspection and a PTP packaging machine, thereby taking prompt action when the status of inspection is not adequate. <P>SOLUTION: This inspection device executes inspection (S100). If a failure determination is made (S110: YES), picture image data, the amount of sheet position trailing, and a determination value, are stored in relation to a fault record comprising the date of fault occurrence and a fault item (S130 to S150). When the fault item in information on the fault occurrence is selected by a worker, a picture image on a PTP film used in fault determination is displayed on the left side of a screen normally used for displaying a picture image of an inspecting object.
