摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new nucleic acid transferable into chloroplast as a real-time reporter gene, and to provide various assays utilizing the new nucleic acid. <P>SOLUTION: The nucleic acid consists of (a) a nucleic acid comprising a specific base sequence or (b) a nucleic acid where, in the specific base sequence, a base sequence is substituted, being involved in a codon less in use frequency in a chloroplast genome compared to the existing luciferase gene. A real-time monitoring of chloroplast gene expression using a luciferase gene functioning in the chloroplast and a method for assaying circadian rhythm utilizing the monitoring are also provided, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
