<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network-based sales system including a buyer computer for a buyer to operate, a merchant computer and a payment computer. <P>SOLUTION: In the network-based sales system, shopping carts receive a plurality of requests from users, they each have a product identifier for identifying one of a plurality of products, and they transmit a plurality of corresponding shopping cart messages to a shopping cart computer. The shopping cart computer receives the plurality of shopping cart messages, changes the shopping carts in a shopping cart database for reflecting the plurality of requests, and creates payment messages.
