PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit for an air conditioner capable of inhibiting the increase of the number of components and costs in accompany with additional installation of distribution terminals for transmitting the power supply transmitted from a power source by a power source wire, to the power source wire for transmitting the power supply to a control board of the indoor unit and the power source wire for transmitting the power supply to an outdoor unit. SOLUTION: The distribution terminal 41 for distributing the power supply transmitted from the power source by the power source wire, to the power source wire for transmitting the power supply to the control board 27 for controlling the indoor unit and the outdoor unit, and the power source wire for transmitting the same to the outdoor unit, is stored inside of an electric equipment box 24 (corresponding to control apparatus storing housing) storing a control apparatus such as the control board 27, independently from the control apparatus.
