<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct an efficient biological treatment by controlling the deposition of microorganisms on a carrier in a fluidized-bed to keep a fluidizing rate within an optimum range. <P>SOLUTION: In this waste water treating device for treating waste water by the fluidized-bed of biological membrane-coated carriers 13 charged into a treating tank 11, a delivery pipe 43 and a pump 41 are provided in the treating tank 11 for sending the waste water containing the carrier 13 up to the upper part of the treating tank 11 and a descending passage is formed between an inner tube 45 and an outer tube 46 for sending the waste water containing the carrier 13 down to the lower part of the treating tank 11. The upper end of the inner tube 45 opens at the water surface in the outer tube 46 and its lower part is connected to an outlet 47 of the treated waste water, while the upper part of the outer tube 46 is connected to the delivery pipe 43 and its lower end opens in the waste water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
