PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controller for a work vehicle allowing smooth operation of a forward travel and a rearward travel, and capable of easily preventing engine trouble or the like. SOLUTION: The work vehicle has: a hydraulic continuously variable transmission shifts power from an engine loaded in a travel machine body; a shift pedal changing a variable speed ratio of the hydraulic continuously variable transmission; and a forward traveling clutch and a rearward traveling clutch transmitting variable speed drive output from the hydraulic continuously variable transmission. The shift pedal comprises a forward travel pedal and a rearward travel pedal, and has: a variable speed sensor detecting a stepping amount of the forward travel pedal or the rearward travel pedal; a variable speed output part rotation sensor detecting a variable speed drive output rotation speed of the hydraulic continuously variable transmission; and a control means transmission-controlling the hydraulic continuously variable transmission.
