摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autofocus system capable of preventing the malfunction of autofocus (AF) resulting from a high-luminance subject by deciding whether or not AF control is performed considering the degree of influence exerted by the subject on a focus evaluated value showing the highness of the contrast of a subject image when there exists such a high-luminance subject that a luminance level is saturated in AF of a contrast system. SOLUTION: For example, a lens device for television broadcasting is provided with an AF processing part 12 for detecting the focus evaluated value of the subject image in an AF area by acquiring the video signal (luminance signal) of a photographic video. The AF processing part 12 obtains the area of the AF area and the area of a pixel where the luminance level is saturated in the AF area. A lens controlling CPU 10 acquires information on them from the AF processing part 12 and decides whether or not the AF control is performed considering the influence exerted on the focus evaluated value of the pixel where the luminance level is saturated.
