PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable storage device capable of enabling a user to view selectively the only program selected by the user, video equipment using the same, and a method of restricting a channel of the video equipment. SOLUTION: The portable storage device includes a channel information storage unit for storing channel restriction information to restrict a broadcast channel and a channel information transmission unit for transmitting the channel restriction information stored to the video equipment for outputting broadcasting.
