In a machine for pelleting granular or fibrous material (e.g. cattle or poultry food), an annular section cylindrical die 2, extending between radially inwardly extending flanges, rests upon freely rotating rollers 16 and 17 and is rotated by internal contact with driven roller 1 to force material fed to the nip thereof through radially extending extrusion holes 13 from which pellets are cut by an adjustable knife 19. Driven roller 1, with associated bearings 4, 5 and veebelt drive from motor 7, is mounted upon hinged base-plate 10 which is adjusted by handwheel 30, for roller 1 to contact die 2 under spring 31 tension or, out of contact upon collar 29, to permit removal of die 2 from the machine.
