PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external wall material, having novel appearance, and provided with workability, water-proofing functions, heat-insulating functions, dew-proofing functions, etc. SOLUTION: This external wall material A comprises a vertical decoration surface, a female connection part 21 comprising a first water-proof piece 13 protruded from an upper end of the decoration surface 4 outward, an engagement piece 18 protruded from a tip part of the first water-proof piece 13 upward, a second water-proof piece 17 protruded from a tip part of the first water-proof piece 13 downward to form a projection 19, and a fixed piece 15 protruded from the upper end of the decoration surface 4 upward, and a male connection part 12 comprising a deepest piece 8 protruded from around a lower end of the decoration surface 4 inward, an insert piece 9 protruded from a tip of the deepest piece 8 downward, and an engagement groove 10 composed of the decoration surface 4, the deepest piece 8, and the insert piece 9. The lower end of the decoration surface 4 covers an upper end part of the decoration surface 4 of the external wall material A.
