PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording head having an excellent capping precision and high structural reliability in which the precision for capping an ink ejection port and its surrounding in the recording element substrate of the recording head for protecting the ink ejection face, when ink suction recovery is conducted or ink is left, can be improved from a conventional gap of approximately±1 mm to approximately a total gap of 0.56 mm which is obtained by adding a gap of an engaging section to a gap of 0.36 mm including only the mounting precision of the recording element substrate and an ink supply member 2 and the precision within the cap. SOLUTION: In the recording device comprising a cap covering the recording element substrate of the recording head and its surrounding, an electric wiring substrate which electrically connects the recording device and the recording element substrate is provided, the electric wiring substrate is bonded and fixed to the same face as the face in the ink supply member having the recording element substrate fixed to it, a groove part penetrating through the electric wiring substrate and the ink supply member is provided at least at one position, and a projecting part to be engaged with the groove part is provided in the cap.
