PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the variation of display modes in the playing area of a game board. SOLUTION: The game board has a light transmitting transparent resin plate 400, a cell sheet 410 and a veneer plate 420 piled one upon another sequentially from its front side. The veneer plate 420 has the prescribed number of through holes 424 as viewed from the front and an LED 464 for outputting the light through the through holes 424 and the cell sheet 410 makes the light permeable at least at locations HS to be lighted corresponding to the through holes 424 and the light from the LED 464 is outputted through the through holes 424 and shines the locations HS to be lighted of the cell sheet 410 to make it glow thereby causing a change in the cell sheet 410 in the glowing state and in the non-glowing state at the locations HS, hence intensifying the display of the locations HS to be lighted. Moreover, the light transmitting transparent resin plate 400 which is disposed on the front side of the cell sheet 410 can prevent damages to the cell sheet 410. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
