COMPOSITION FOR FORMING A NEOFORMED LAYER ON WEARING SURFACES

The inventive composition for forming a neoformed layer on wearing surfaces relates to mechanical engineering. Said composition makes it possible to form a neoformed layer on wearing surfaces while repairing and servicing different machines and mechanisms. Said layer exhibits a self-regeneration effect in operation and high tribotechnical characteristics, increased wear and corrosion resistance. The invention is characterised in that natural nickel-iron-magnesian hydrosilicates are used in said composition in the form of a base and catalyst, for example forsterite Mg₂(SiO₄) or fayalite Fe₂(SiO₄) or the like or the mixture thereof, promote the production of the neoformed layer on the wearing metal surfaces and initiate mass-exchange self-oscillation process.
