<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which can improve the durability of the golf club head, and increase the initial speed of a hit golf ball as well as the hitting angle of the hit ball. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head with a hollow structure for an iron golf club head has a golf club head body having an opening portion in a back face being a back face of a face for hitting golf balls and a back face member consisting of a material with a rigidity lower than a member constituting the golf club head body.
