PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply attach and detach a decorative cover to and from a portable telephone body for sure attachment. SOLUTION: The decorative cover 4 is press-fitted, while overlapping with a rear cover 18 via a compressively deformed cushion member. The restoring force of the compressively deformed cushion member functions to press down on the rear cover 18. A force is given to the decorative cover 4 so that the decorative cover is lifted upward from the rear cover 18. As a result, clamping force acts so that the upper edge of a nib lifts the lower edge of cutouts 22a, 22b, 22c. When external force is applied for pressing the decorative cover 4 against the rear cover 18, from this state, the tip of the nib is lowered for breaking away from the cutouts 22a, 22b, 22c, and the engaged relation is canceled.
