An exhaust gas after-treatment device has a particle filter with a filter wall passing exhaust gas from a wall inlet side to a wall outlet side. A nitrous oxide storing catalyst coating (2) is arranged on the intake side. A selective catalyst reduction (SCR) catalyst coating (3) is arranged on the outlet side, where the areas of both coatings are partly overlapped or not overlapped. The inlet and outlet sides limit inflow and outflow longitudinal channels, respectively.
