<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cassette-shaped recording medium with a built-in semiconductor memory and a recording/reproduction apparatus that can reliably exchange signals. <P>SOLUTION: The cassette has a metal plate 3a and a toothed member 4a on a side, and the recording/reproduction apparatus has a magnet 5a and a toothed member 6a. At cassette loading, they are accurately positioned by magnetic attraction to ensure reliable contact between memory R/W control terminal groups 2 and 7, so that the cassette medium with a built-in semiconductor memory can be loaded and ejected automatically. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
