<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell unit capable of suppressing a reduction in power generation efficiency resulting from metal ions flowing into the fuel cell. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell unit 10 includes: a DMFC stack 42; a cooling section 71 (or 53) for cooling a discharged fluid (unreacted methanol, water vapor) discharged from the DMFC stack 42; a mixing tank 45 for mixing the cooled discharged fluid with high-concentration methanol and thereby producing a low-concentration methanol solution to be supplied to the DMFC stack 42; and a metal ion-removing filter 73 provided on a flow path leading to the DMFC stack 42 from the cooling section 71 (or 53) via the mixing tank 45. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
