PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile machine capable of improving availability, while reducing troubles given to the opposite party, by appropriately performing retransmission processing. SOLUTION: In retransmission operation by an automatic retransmission function to a destination terminal after facsimile transmission ends up undelivered, the facsimile machine 1 sends out a voice message for making a request for a destination terminal to input a facsimile number from a voice response 11 to the terminal, finishes retransmission operation once, and then performs retransmission processing to a facsimile number designated by a DTMF signal, when the machine receives the DTMF signal from the destination terminal. Accordingly, even when the number of telephone or the like is entered from an operation section 2 as a facsimile number by mistake, the number is automatically changed into a correct facsimile number in the retransmission operation, and retransmission is performed.
