PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified, small-sized, and low-cost constitution of a lens interchangeable imaging device by using main-body side optical paths of light for imaging and light for communication in common when data communication between a lens and the main body is performed by light by an optical system for imaging. SOLUTION: An optical system provided on the main body side includes a means for color separation and is used as the optical path of light for communication in common, a light emission and reception portion provided on the optical path emits and receives communication light to and from a light reception and emission portion provided on the lens side, and a microprocessor on the main body side uses the light emission and reception to electrically communicate data to a microprocessor on the lens side without contact.
